Birthday Gift

My first foray into bags, this was made as a birthday gift for my husband. His old laptop bag has disintegrated to the point where I don't think there's an intact seam on it, including the ones I went and patched back up. I decided I'd make him a new one, something that was meant to stand up to his use and abuse and carrying every day to school.
This bag was made without a pattern, and includes a zippered main pocket for the laptop, plus a second large section with a place to slide writing utensils. The pocket on the side is meant to carry the laptop's power cord.
