Wha?! I got a Daily Deviation?! Holy crap, dudes. That's some fantastic validation, there. And while there was some criticism to the piece, I found it extremely amusing that the critics did not realize that I was not the photographer, but the MODEL. My last journal was pretty sad, huh? But you know what? I'm not sad. I've got GREAT things happening. I'm kicking ass and taking names at a nationally recognized academy of beauty. I'm about to announce a new connection for my modeling work. I'm kid-free for the month and taking the opportunity to visit friends and meet new people--one of which I'm especially excited about. I'm about to have enough tips saved up from working the salon floor to buy my half of a new phone, one that actually responds when you touch it and loads apps more than 30% of the time. When you're having fun, that is. I was spending so much time at hair school/with my now-ex-boyfriend/with my son/on my smartphone, I almost completely abandoned all parts of the internet that weren't apps. It's funny how getting dumped after eleven months of love for the simple reason that you're not "The One" can make you wake up and smell life. Who still believes in The One at 31?
